A superb, pristine, rare 1st press mono copy of, The Animals - 1964 self titled debut album on the Columbia / Emi label. 33SX 1669, XAX 2717 - 1N / XAX 2718 - 1N. This album didn't sell well on its original release and was soon deleted. To find an original mono copy in this good a condition is virtually impossible now. The record is in Excellent+, if not better, condition, clean and pristine. It does have a couple of very faint marks when viewed under light, but plays superbly, with no clicks, jumps, pops or sticking. The music is clear and pristine with no crackle or distortion. There is some very faint crackle inbetween some of the tracks but nothing really noticeable or offensive. The vinyl is thick and heavy, weighing in excess of 150g and comes with the important 1st press matrices. The labels are in pristine condition with no real signs of spindle wear, side one has a raised K & T on either side of the spindle hole. The cover is in excellent++ condition, unbelievable when you think it is nearly 50 years old. The front laminate is almost perfect, just a small crease next to Eric Burdon's head and a couple of very small creases along the bottom. The cover is clean, intact and crisp with no wear or creases whatsoever, the reverse is also in excellent++ condition with no signs of discolouration. I would have been happy with this condition if I'd bought it new, this is probably the best copy of this rare album on ebay today.
Please bid with confidence, I offer a full refund guarantee if the buyer is not happy. The album will be securely packaged and posted by either domestic or international insured post, please note that the shipping costs reflect this. I will not take the risk of posting an album this rare by standard post. Please note that the UK price for insured next day special delivery post is £9, not the amount shown by ebay. PLEASE WAIT FOR ME TO INVOICE YOU BEFORE PAYING. If you have any questions, I will try my best to answer them.
