The Anointed -- God Is Alive LP
Original 1972 US stereo private pressing on Anointed Records (catalog # MA12-A1-72). NOTE: condition issues (see below.)Obscure and incredibly rare early 70's private Xian folk-psych LP from the Messianic cult based around the Christian guru Brother Julius. These are hippies and Jesus freaks from all over the Northeast who took up with their messiah Brother Julius on his commune in New Jersey. There's some stirling a-little-too-real-people Xian folk on here, with nice psych flourishes, all originals and actually many very well-written and quite memorable songs.

CONDITION: Cover G- / Vinyl G- pretty beat-up but playable copy -- the cover is worn and mostly split at top and bottom seams; vinyl has some wear, a few light surface scratches, there's an unusual kind of light and flat warp (it's damage from heat but it is not warped at a curl, the grooves are just distorted at one secion) at the extreme edge which may cause skips in the first track on each side -- I was able to get both sides to play through perfectly fine by adjusting the tonearm on my turntable -- listen to the tracks above to hear how two songs from this copy play -- not guaranteed for every song to play without skipping -- sold as-is. Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]grade only used if record is brand new.

Priority Mail is a highly recommended option for all vinyl, it's a lot faster and much more secure -- I double-box (and sometimes triple-box) all LP's shipped via Priority Mail.
