In 1968, record company executive Don Kirshner and producer Jeff Barry completed and released the debut album from the fictitious pop group The Archies. It was all based on the 'Archie' comic book series, as well as the Archies Saturday morning cartoon. Bottom line? They needed music to coincide with the Archies craze that was sweeping the nation!
The band had a big # 1 radio hit with "Sugar Sugar", and that's on here, too! The album was reissued many times since its original late 60s release. One of the latest remastered reissues is a special limited edition (only 500 copies of these were made) splatter colored vinyl version! It's awesome, and is bubblegum colors (or confetti colors), and looks fantastic! See first (stock) pic for the splatter colors. Every other pic is of the exact item you will receive. This copy is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED!
