"ART GALLERY" by THE ARTWOODS (1966)
THIS RECORD IS MEGA RARE IN THIS CONDITION - LOOKS LIKE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED
Includes Ronnie Woods' brother Art on vocals, John Lord of Deep Purple on the organ and Keef Hartley on drums.
This is probably one of the rarest UK records around and I don't recall ever seeing one in MINT condition like this copy.
The record looks like it has never been played, not a mark or scratch or speck of dust in sight.
The sleeve is excellent too with the spine completely intact and just a few very tiny marks along the bottom. The lower right corner has a 1cm split.
The write up on the reverse of the sleeve is mindboggling. Here is a short extract :
"Arthur Wood freely admist to being a man, but prefers his pet dog Doreen, heavily disguised as a goldfish, not to know. He, Art that is, not his pet donkey, Neerod the hot dog, is neither tall nor short : insignificant would be an apt description. His hair reaches the left ear in sunny weather, and his right nostril at freezing point. He is good for a laugh but charges high prices for biscuits. To sing is his pleasure, no-one elses."
