Description
The Baker's Wife is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz - Godspell (1971), Pippin (1972), and Wicked (2003) it was based on the 1938 French film of the same name by Marcel Pagnol and Jean Giono.
The musical premiered in the West End in 1989 for a short run but, while establishing a dedicated cult following, has not been produced on Broadway.
Vinyl 2 x LP set released in 1990 on the TER record label (TER 1175) both vinyls and the gatefold sleeve are in excellent condition. It feature George Raistrick as The Baker and Jill Martin as The Baker's Wife.
The show features "Meadowlark" a much recorded song.
