On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Band called 'Music From Big Pink' and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Capitol 'Rainbow' label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THE RAREST LP ON THE CAPITOL LABEL (IN MONO!) - AND SIMPLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1968 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED, IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (VIRTUALLY NOTHING!) AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL, IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT 'BLANK' COVER!!!!  WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK - IT WAS GIVEN A 'NON-TITLED' COVER (LIKE THE U.S. ISSUE).  HOWEVER, (LIKE NEIL YOUNG'S 'NO NAME' 1ST LP) VIRTUALLY NO ONE BOUGHT THE LP AT ALL - BECAUSE NO ONE HAD A CLUE WHO WAS ON THE LP!!!!  SO NATURALLY PEOPLE SKIPPED STRAIGHT PAST THIS LP IN THE RECORD SHOPS OF 1968 - AND SALES WERE ABSOLUTELY TINY!!!!  AND SO, CAPITOL DECIDED TO MAKE AN IMMEDIATE CHANGE TO THE COVER DESIGN IN THE UK - AND ADDED THE ARTIST & LPs TITLE IN PINK LETTERING ON THE COVER FRONT!!!!  AS A RESULT, ONLY A TINY HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY - EVER CAME LIKE THIS (WITH A BLANK COVER FRONT!) AND THIS LP IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!!  IN MY COMPARISON PICTURES BELOW YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE DIFFERENCE - WITH THE IMPOSSIBLY RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS BLANK COVER ON THE LEFT IN THE PICTURE (AND THE MORE COMMON VERSION ON THE RIGHT!)!!!!  AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS MAKES THIS LP ONE OF THE RAREST LPS EVER RELEASED IN THE UK - EVER!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS 1ST PRESSED IN MEGA RARE MONO!!!!  AND AGAIN THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK BACK IN LATE 1968 - VIRTUALLY EVERY 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE WAS PRESSED IN STEREO - WITH VIRTUALLY NONE IN MEGA RARE MONO!!!!  AS A RESULT, FINDING AN ULTRA RARE MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK A THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS CAPITOL 'RAINBOW' LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND ULTRA RARE 'BLANK FRONTED' 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY MPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Capitol UK 1st Pressing from 1968 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is T 2955 on the 1st Press Capitol 'Rainbow' label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarer UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are in BRILLIANT condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing (apart from an absolutely TINY name at the VERY edge of 1 label), and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, only 1 ULTRA light TINY pressing mark (NON sounding!), and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The ULTRA RARE 'Blank Fronted' 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated 'Patents Pending' Cover is in SUPERB condition!!!! The cover has NO edgewear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the unlaminated back is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO writing, NO rubbing, only 2 absolutely TINY areas of wear near the Cat Number in the top right hand corner, and NO yellowing!!!!  The cover must grade Excellent(Minus) if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
