Description

Beautiful copy of the 1969 first pressing of the Band’s self-titled “brown album” on Capitol STAO-132. Original green labels and textured gatefold cover. "RL" in the runout on both sides, indicating a Robert Ludwig mastering, which many say is the best sounding pressing. This copy is lovely. The disc has a few minor superficial scuffs, but they don't affect the play in the least. Really the disc plays near perfectly, and just beautifully. The cover is quite lovely as well, with just a little bit of edge whitening and lightly rubbed corners. Really an exceptionally nice looking copy. Most originals are way more worn than this one. This is truly a lovely original copy, hard to beat.
