Beautiful copy of the original 1978 pressing of the Band’s Last Waltz triple-LP on Warner Brothers 3WS-3146. Recorded during their farewell show(s) at Winterland in San Francisco, with a litany of guest artists, including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Neil Diamond, Van Morrison, Dr. John, Muddy Waters, and on and on. All three discs are quite nice and play beautifully with barely the slightest issue. A few superficial scuffs and light marks in places but barely much of anything. Maybe a tiny crackle between a couple of songs but barely that even. The only song on which I hear any crackle is Helpless, on side one, but not bad, and only for a few moments. The rest plays just about perfectly all the way through. A little crackle at the very beginning of a couple of sides, but not during the music at all. Really a beautiful sounding copy. The textured cover has light wear, with a very soft crease at the lower right corner, some light edgewear and some minor scuffing. But really a nice cover; they are usually way more worn. The booklet is nearly immaculate, and it still has the three original matching inner sleeves. This is a beautiful original copy that sounds lovely.
