I have been collecting Beatles vinyl and memorabilia for 30+ years. I have now decided to sell my vast collection which includes many rarities. Please follow my auctions for a huge amount of original Beatles vinyl and memorabilia to be listed every week when possible.
The Beatles 'Hey Jude / Revolution'. R 5722.
A real rarity here, an unknown contract pressing.
The Beatles 1968 UK 1st pressing of the 'Hey Jude / Revolution' 7" single. This is a rare unknown contract pressing. It is identified by matt textured labels with a wide space four prong center with additional large outside ridge.
This matches none of my other 1960's vinyl so I am unable to identify who produced it. The textured labels and large outer ridge are very unusual. It is certainly rare.
These contact pressings exist due to the fact that there was huge demand for this release. EMI could not cope with production so to maintain it's chart position and sales they contracted out production to rival companies who had spare production capacity.

Side one: 7XCE 21185-1 KT 9
Side two: 7XCE 21186-1 KT 1
Vinyl condition: EXCELLENT condition on the a-side and EXCELLENT- condition on the b-side.
Sleeve condition: EXCELLENT+ (new).
Carefully visually graded with UK Record Collector system.
