The Beatles - 'Hey Jude / Revolution'. R 5722

The Beatles 1968 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Hey Jude / Revolution' 7" single. Released on the 30th August 1968, this was the first Beatles release to appear on their own 'Apple' label.

These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant. Released on the dark 'Apple Records' label both sides feature the 'Sold in UK....' text. The factory sample sticker is attached to the a-side with the b-side featuring embossed 'KT' tax stamp. The vinyl is housed within the original wave top glossy Apple Records sleeve. An interesting addition to any collection as A-label demos of this release were never created.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. 7XCE 21185-1 3 LD KT

Side 2. 7XCE 21186-1 5 HO KT

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. Wear to left hand edge.

This will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK Recorded postage is: £2.50. EU Recorded Postage is: £8.50. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £11.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
