The Beatles - ’Hey Jude / Revolution’. R 5722
The Beatles 1968 UK MONO 1st PHILIPS CONTRACT pressing of the ’Hey Jude / Revolution’ 7” single. Released on the 30th August 1968, these contract issues exist due to the fact EMI could not cope with such high demand for this release. Additional production was contracted out to other record companies such as Decca, Pye and Philips. This is a Philips Records contract press, it is far rarer than the standard EMI pressing. The vinyl is housed within the original 1968 Apple glossy sleeve.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: 7XCE 21185–1 3 3 KT
Side 2: 7XCE 21186–1 3 3 KT
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition.
Both labels are in in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in GOOD+ condition. Creased but the original.
