The Beatles - 'Yellow Submarine'. PCS 7070
The Beatles 1969 UK 1st STEREO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Yellow Submarine' LP. Released on the 17th January 1969, these initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the dark Apple Records label both sides feature the 'Sold in UK....' text. The vinyl is housed within the original ‘MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN’ inner sleeve and front laminated sleeve with TWO HORIZONTAL RED LINES on the rear. The sleeve also OMITS any reference to the printer/manufacturer indicating a very early issue. A scarce demo example of one of The Beatles rarer albums.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: YEX 715-1 1 O
Side 2: YEX 716-1 1 G A
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition on side one and VERY GOOD+ condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. I will include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
