Description
Extremely rare 1970 Beatles EMI Abbey Road acetate
featuring The Long And Winding Road, Teddy Boy, Baby You're A Rich Man.
Thick vinyl, ten-inch acetate of The Beatles performing three tracks: The Long And Winding Road, Teddy Boy and Baby You’re A Rich Man. This single-sided disc was cut at EMI Studios (Abbey Road) by chief cutting engineer Harry Moss, whose handwriting is on the label. It is in a plain white paper polylined sleeve.
The Long and Winding Road and Teddy Boy are unreleased January 1969 recordings from the film sessions for the Get Back project, which eventually became Let It Be. The Baby You’re A Rich Man featured on this disc is the master version, as issued on the B-side of All You Need Is Love and the US Magical Mystery Tour album.
Although these versions of The Long And Winding Road and Teddy Boy have been available as bootlegs since the early 1970s, this official EMI acetate is extremely rare, if not unique.
The disc is absolutely authentic and original, not a modern repro or fake. It was inherited from a former EMI Records executive who worked with The Beatles’ recordings from the end of the 1960s. It is in good condition and has only been played once in the last twenty years.
Payment is by PayPal only.
Please be aware that if the disc is to be sent outside of the UK there may be additional postage costs, depending on the destination and the buyer's preferred form of dispatch.
