The Beatles - 'Magical Mystery Tour' E.P. SMMT 1
The Beatles 1980’s UK pressing of the ’Magical Mystery Tour' E.P. Quite a rarity here as the labels applied actually date from 1969 (with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ rim print). It is offered here in STUNNING MINT- condition.
One disc also has a distinct ridged centre showing it to be a Virgin records contract pressing. The same ridge can be found on other 1980’s records such as Paul McCartney’s Spies Like Us from 1985. The use of older 1969 labels would probably be down to cost cutting - using up old stock labels. EMI / Parlophone do have a history of this but still really quite rare.
The correct STEREO gatefold sleeve is made from much thinner card than the 1967 and 1969 versions. It comes fully complete with the booklet and yellow lyric insert sheet. It should be noted the yellow lyric insert sheet is also quite different to the earlier versions as it is VERY VERY bright yellow in colour. Both discs are housed within what I am sure are the original 1980’s black inner sleeves. A very rare issue here.

Side 1: 7YCE 18435-3 3 2
Side 2: 7YCE 18434-3 2 1 8 (3 crossed out).
Side 3: 7YCE 18436-1 14 GRP KT (A crossed out).
Side 4: 7YCE 18437-3 1 M
The vinyl is in MINT- condition.
All labels are in EXCELLENT+/MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in MINT- condition.
The inner sleeves are in MINT- condition.
