Description
Super record, This is a genuine UK 1st/2nd pressing mono copy with rare 'crossover' labels (explained below). It has the correct early sleeve with photo and print credits. Also correct original inner sleeve.
Condition I would best describe as 'really nice for year'. It is not mint but very presentable and extremely listenable. The sleeve has some corner and edge wear, it shows its age a little but is way above average condition. The record itself has minor hairline scratches visible under light but plays very well with just occasional background crackle, nothing to seriously detract. There is a couple of worn grooves (see picture) this looks like the needle has stuck at some point here, but it does not stick or skip here now, (or anywhere else for that matter), and it sounds like it has had little play apart from this one area where it goes a bit fuzzy. I don't think this really detracts but I feel should be mentioned.
*This is a first pressing (gold black labels) with Dick James credits on side 1. Side 2 has 2nd pressing Northern Songs credits in place of Dick James, which defines this more precisely as a 1st/2nd crossover pressing and is extremely rare. All early black and gold label versions are rare, and 2nd pressing copies have the same value in the Record Collector price guide as the 1st, so this being a crossover between the two early versions does in no way detract from the value. The two pressings were done back to back and labels were used and switched over as they ran out.
Great record to play and enjoy, I don't think this will dissapoint. Low starting price for what this is.
