Fab First Pressing LP, from the FAB FOUR, 1964, A Hard Day’s Night, Mono, Parlophone, great for your collection or as a gift for someone FAB, FAB, FAB.

The Beatles - Back in 1964 buyers of the mono "A Hard Day's Night" Soundtrack album got a better deal than did the ones who bought the "stereo" version. While the latter's instrumentals were in true stereo the Beatles songs were mangled by engineers into versions that were electronically reprocessed for stereo.

 

On the other hand the mono buyers got a unique edition of "And I Love Her" where Paul's vocal isn't doubled. A Hard Day's Night was the first Beatles album with all songs written by the Lennon-McCartney songwriting team. John Lennon is the album's vocal star though Paul's "And I Love Her" is a stand out.

 

 

This Fab LP is a First pressing, Vinyl LP, Parlophone, PMC 1230, July 10, 1964, mono, Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, front laminated cover, with mid-sized ‘mono’ on front.  Tracing paper lined ‘Use Emitex’ die-cut inner sleeve. PMC 1230 PCS 3058

First pressing.  July 10, 1964.  Black label with yellow logo and silver print. ‘The Parlophone Co. Ltd.’ Printed at the start perimeter print. ‘Recording first published 1964’ and ‘Sold in U.K. subject…’Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 481, Side: XEX 482, Text is chubby and rounded, this style of text only lasted a short time.

Some strange and wonderful psychedelic purple, green and grey geometric designs appear to the greys on the front cover in some lights, or is it just my camera, or me?
