Condition:
Sleeve: EXCELLENT - Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is in amazingly good condition, especially considering it 50 years old.
Very clean throughout, and free of writing and stickers. Excellent strong spine with bold title print. All flipback seams are intact. There are a few edge creases in various places, but they are very light and do not detract from the high quality of the sleeve.
All edges are free of splits. There is some light buffing to the corners on the opening edge, and some light handling marks.
The inner is the standard white paper lined EMITEX type, in nice clean condition but slightly yellowed with age. There are unrepaired splits to the bottom and one side.
Record: EXCELLENT - The vinyl is simply STUNNING - especially consider it is 50 years old. Without doubt, the best 1st pressing I have ever seen.
The heavy 170gm vinyl is in superb condition with a lovely clean sheen. When examined under strong lights, both sides appear to be TOTALLY BLEMISH FREE.
The labels are clean and bright, free of writing and stickers, and show only very light surface spindle marks.
Side 2 shows the very lightly embossed "KT" Tax Code.
Checked for sound and quality - and it plays superbly well throughout - no skips or jumps. The original MONO sound is a real joy to listen to.

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
