Offered for auction in this listing is a copy of a hard-to-find "8-Star PARLOPHONE" labelled MONO pressing of A Hard Day's Night from H.M.V. (New Zealand).
CONDITION - VINYL
Vinyl grades at VG. Record plays all the way through without sticks or jumps (both sides). There is crackle present here and there but is sporadic. Visually, the surface has some marks and scuffs which may disappear with a clean. The platter is as flat as Roger Moore's feet (and that's exceedingly flat indeed).
CONDITION - LABELS
labels grade at VG+ with some minor wear and a surface scratch at and around the spindle on the side 1 label. Manufacture-related defects are also evident on the side 1 label. The side 2 label fares much better.
CONDITION - SLEEVE
The sleeve is the rare edition that gets the wording of the album title, on the spine, wrong, i.e. A Hard Night's Day instead of A Hard Day's Night. The spine has a few laminate cracks and there are a couple of spots where the top layer has lifted-off. The opening at the side has some mild feathering and a little warping of the profile. Front and rear faces of the original tri-flapback sleeve are very good. Age-related artefacts can be seen but both faces are free of writing, stickers, tearing or any other unwelcome owner-initiated damage.
