ALBUM INFO:

This is the ORIGINAL UK FIRST PRESS "STEREO" BEATLES - A HARD DAY'S NIGHT.... In 1964 most people owned Dansette's or the old fashion type of Radio Grams, I don't need to tell you how many Lp's got scratched and ruined by heavy weighted arms and metal needles. What makes these early Stereo presses unique is you could not JUST BUY THEM OVER THE COUNTER!!! You had to put in a special ORDER.. This is the "Second most Rare Beatles LP"... Only The GOLD Stereo Please Please Me. is Rarer. Weather there were less pressed because of it being a Film Sound track, or just lack of demand this first Yellow and Black Label hardly ever turns up, in any condition! Especially in this kind of condition. This The Beatles third studio album, with the famous 1st Press Yellow & Black label for this classic Beatles Album. A really hard to find 1st press! A collectors dream. The cover is in stunning condition, made by Garrod & Lofthouse. and is near mint, and you would be hard pushed to find better. This original cover by Garrod & Lofthouse was the first PRESS as the covers by them were better quality and more expensive, EMI used these sleeves for Shop displays and promotion use on day of release. Which was 10th July 1964 as the soundtrack from the film. This Album was the first and only album with every song composition written by Lennon/McCartney, with John taking the lead on 9 of 13 songs.

Well as you can see from the photographs this is a superb copy of The BEATLES 1964 beat album in near perfect condition! THE BEATLES -A HARD DAY'S NIGHT. BEATLES PMS 3058 on PARLOPHONE. I've played the album on my Pioneer PL- 550X The vinyl lays flat and there are NO warps. The sound is STUNNING!!!! NO CLICKS OR JUMPS!  A truly wonderful listen. The stampers are GM on side 1... which is the very first as far as I know. As stampers are G R A M P H O N in that order G R being first run. This really is an early day of release copy, and pressed prior to the 10th. even the original inner sleeve is unsplit and has just a few creases. The cover cut not rounded flip back corners again unique to this first run.

This was the third Beatles studio album. Now critically acclaimed. In the U.S. the album was released two weeks earlier with different tracks and a red cover, but later changed to the Uk release.

The album is a masterpiece!!! Q magazine placed it at number 5 of all time British Albums. My record has no distortion and sounds clear and loud, STUNNING PLAYBACK an overall enjoyable listen!  The sleeve is laminated without any Major creasing, The Labels have M.T. Tax Stamps and a few light spindle marks. NO WRITING OR MARKS. The Vinyl is Bright and Shiney under strong light a few light marks which do affect play.  An opportunity to own a Mega Rare true beat classic.

THIS IS A VERY RARE BEATLES LP. ( In the 1960's THESE EARLY LP's HAD TO BE ORDERED!!! were very expensive and many became damaged. ( "TO FIND ONE IN THIS CONDITION IS NOW RARE INDEED!!" )
