Description

Up for sale is an original Y/B Parlophone pressing of one of the most famous Beatles albums, pressed either later on in 1964 or early 1965. It has the "Parlophone Co." rim text so the very latest this could have been pressed is June 1965 as beginning in July it was switched to "The Gramophone Co."
It has the original -1 matrices on both sides.
Gradings:
Vinyl - Very Good - Visually it has a fair amount of wear, with scuffs, scratches, spindle trails, etc, with side 2 looking the roughest. That said, due to the depth of the grooves plus the loudness and energy of this first press tube cutting, it plays a lot better than it looks and a lot of the surface noise is overpowered by the sheer volume and energy that this cutting brings. It has no skips or jumps anywhere and despite it's wear it's still a great listen!
Cover - Good+ - The cover is an original 1964 G&L flipback and it's holding up pretty well. That said, It has a fair amount of wear to the laminate & opening, some cracks in the spine and unfortunately the top rear flipback is damaged and lifting a little in one spot. The spine is still readable but one of the cracks is more major and goes straight through the text.

Unfortunately the original emitex inner has been lost and a generic paper sleeve from around about the same time will be included.
All in all it seems like this record was enjoyed quite a lot back in it's day but although there are definitely better examples out there, this album is still perfectly enjoyable and I think it would make a fine addition in a collection. I'm selling this as I've since upgraded my own copy.
