THESE ORIGINAL MONO RELEASES ARE REALLY THE ONLY WAY TO HEAR THE BEATLES IN ALL THEIR GLORY - THE MONOS HAVE A MUCH MORE IMMEDIATE, FRESH, VIBRANT AND UNDILUTED SOUND THAN THE STEREOS AND THEY STILL SOUND AS FRESH AND EXCITING TODAY AS THEY DID OVER 45 YEARS AGO

THE RECORD IS PRESSED ON QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL WITH THE FIRST YELLOW/BLACK PARLOPHONE LABELS WHICH HAVE THE EMBOSSED (AND RARE VARIANT) 'MT' TAX CODE ON SIDE ONE - THIS IS ACTUALLY INCORRECT AS THE 'KT' TAX CODE WAS IN USE AT THE TIME - The MT tax code was used for a short period only, between 1st January 1963 and 1st July 1963 when it was replaced by the "KT" code - SO BY JULY 1964, WHEN "A Hard Day's Night" WAS RELEASED, THE 'KT' CODE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESSED

AS THE FIRST PRESSING THE LABEL RIM TEXT BEGINS WITH "The Parlophone Co. Ltd." (LATER CHANGED TO "The Gramophone Co. Ltd.") AND IT ALSO CARRIES THE "SOLD IN UK..." TEXT AND "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964"

LABELS: EXCELLENT - clean and bright with just a little wear to the spindle hole and moderate spindle markings. This copy has been well played but also extremely well cared for (unlike most original 1964 copies) as is evident from the clean, practically unmarked surfaces and sensational playback (please see detailed audio assessment below)
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+ The vinyl surfaces still retain their original deep, glossy sheen and are practically unmarked (there is a superficial light brush mark on one side but has no audio consequence)
VINYL Audio: Superb - crystal clear, clean, crisp, sharp and vibrant sound - incredibly fresh and exciting and on playback at a loud volume (which is how I always listen to my LPs prior to listing, and it's always an immense pleasure to return to this wonderful LP) there are no scratches, no sticks or jumps, no surface noise and no clicks or pops. The sound quality is simply sensational throughout and the whole LP plays to an extremely high standard with all frequencies bright and clear, no discernible groove-wear and no distortion. Critically graded a very, very strong EXCELLENT++ for audio - this is a fantastic copy
SLEEVE: The EJ DAY front laminated flipback cover is also in beautiful condition - crisp, sharp, unworn edges and spine - which displays all text clear and bold. The laminated front has a deep, glass-like gloss with no rubbing or ring wear and the unlaminated back is remarkably clean with no structural damage to the flipback sections. Superb example - EXCELLENT++ if not better
The original EMITEX inner is also in great condition- clean and fresh with no splits
