The album was of course, named after the London road in St. John's Wood that houses the E.M.I. studios (although, at one time it was going to be titled, "Everest").
The cover photograph was taken on Friday 8th August 1969 by Iain Macmillan at 10 o'clock in the morning.
For these quick snaps the police held up the traffic for 10 minutes as six pictures were taken (in two of which Paul wore his sandals).
Along with Sgt. Peppers, once again The Beatles managed to create something so iconic that it has been imitated many times.

Track Listing:
Side 1: Come Together / Something / Maxwell's Silver Hammer / Oh Darling / Octopus Garden / I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Side 2: Here Comes The Sun / Because / You Never Give Me Your Money / Sun King / Mean Mr Mustard / Polythene Pam / She Came In Through The Bathroom Window / Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End

LABELS: The labels are clean, bright and unmarked with just a few light spindle traces - EXCELLENT++
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen with no dulling and are practically unmarked. There are a couple of light hairlines on the vinyl surfaces and some markings on the outer rim - but none of these have any real audio consequence - EXCELLENT++
VINYL Audio: An impressively produced and engineered album with beautifully deep, rich and extremely warm audio - it sounds absolutely gorgeous. This is one of The Beatles' finest sounding records, and on playback at a loud volume there are no major audio issues of note - just a few clicks for the first few seconds of "Here Comes The Sun" otherwise, beautifully clean sound throughout . Critically graded an EX++ (Side One) and VG++ (Side Two) - this is a very nice copy indeed
SLEEVE: The original (corrected, aligned apple logo) fully laminated G&L sleeve is clean and bright with very little rubbing to the surfaces which have a beautiful deep glossy sheen. The sleeve is very thin and flat with no edge wear to speak of and all spine text clear and bold. Overall, a fine example - EXCELLENT
INNER SLEEVE: The original black inner sleeve with the central die-cut hole on one side only is in EXCELLENT condition. This is the original as issued with the LP in 1969 and not one of the readily available brand new replacements - this one has some obvious age to it but it's still in great shape with no damage to the central die-cut section and no splits to any of the edges
