PRESSED ON HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL (158g) WITH THE FIRST ISSUE DARK GREEN APPLE LABELS

THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FULLY LAMINATED AND DEEPLY GLOSSY SINGLE SLEEVE “Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse International Ltd" WHICH HAS THE SPINE 'PINCHED' AT THE TOP AND BOTTOM
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEVE WITH UK PATENT NUMBER AND "MADE IN ENGLAND" PRINTED IN BLUE
The album was of course, named after the London road in St. John's Wood that houses the E.M.I. studios (although, at one time it was going to be titled, "Everest").
The cover photograph was taken on Friday 8th August 1969 by Iain Macmillan at 10 o'clock in the morning.
For these quick snaps the police held up the traffic for 10 minutes as six pictures were taken (in two of which Paul wore his sandals).
Along with Sgt. Peppers, once again The Beatles managed to create something so iconic that it has been imitated many times.

LABELS: NEAR MINT
The labels are clean, fresh and unmarked and carry less than a handful of light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: MINT/NEAR MINT
Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen and look like-new - just a tiny fine hairline on the edge of Side Two (which is hard to see but causes a few minor soft background ticks at the very beginning of "Here Comes The Sun"
VINYL Audio: MINT/NEAR MINT
An impressively produced and engineered album with beautifully deep, rich and extremely warm audio - one of The Beatles' finest sounding records and my play-check at volume found little to fault. Side One is flawless as is Side Two bar the tiny background ticks for the first few seconds mentioned above - very minor and nothing I found at all intrusive - superb copy
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT+
The fully laminated cover has a deep, glass-like glossy sheen to both the front and back surfaces with just some record impression evident from the heavyweight record. All edges are crisp, sharp and unworn and all text on the 'pinched' spine is clear and bold
