Description
This is the 1978 green vinyl “Export Pressing” of Abbey Road. For more info, please see the excellent webpage at: http://www.jpgr.co.uk/pcs7088.html
It's on Apple, cat PCS 7088. The dead wax has YEX-749 PCS 7088 - Side 1 and YEX-750 PCS 7088 - Side 2
I listened to it through on headphones and the disc mostly plays quietly with some mild crackle here and there, which I've found to be typical of coloured vinyl pressings from this period. There are 2 repetitive clicks, the first during “Something”, which lasts for 3 revolutions, and the second at the start of “Because”, which lasts for about half a minute.
Visually the playing surfaces are mostly clean with a few hairlines and smudges, but side 2 has a 1 cm radial mark which causes the click on “Because”. The labels are clean, apart from some minor spindle wear.
The fully-laminated sleeve has slight wear to the bottom edge, and a small rectangular blemish directly below John's right foot (see photo). The top seam has come unstuck. The spine is clean and the printing is fully legible. There is no ringwear, but the imprint of the disc is visible.

The LP will be packaged in a cardboard mailer with stiffener, the disc packed outside the sleeve (so as not to cause sleeve wear), and supplied with a heavy duty PVC outer cover and a Nagaoka anti-static inner liner (in addition to the original plain paper inner).
