Description
THE BEATLES - Abbey Road, rare collectors item, display usage only.
Rare Original Dutch Picture Disc, widely imported into the U.K. in 1979. no sticker present.
The disc is in mint condition, the sleeve has a crumple at the top left, and also the rear cover has a hole in the middle, indicating it was on display at some time, possibly in a record shop.
Discogs list it as a limited issue release in 1979, made in the Netherlands, and this checks out with the serial number ==5C P062-04343 shown on the rear cover and spine.

Limited edition Dutch picture disc pressing.-Comes in a die-cut sleeve that features the remaining portion of the front cover photo, and the full artwork on the back.
-Track titles and credits on the back are in red print.
-"Her Majesty" is not listed on the sleeve.
-Some copies come with a 1 1/2" white and red EMI sticker stating "EMI records holland bv | MADE IN HOLLAND" (see photo)
From backside cover: "Limited Picture Edition Sound quality may not be comparable to conventional edition. This album has been released previously under a different cover as 5C 062-04243".
A quick word about my collection and playing system.
I keep all of my collection horizontally in a wall rack and only play albums on a top flight record deck, the stylus is a Dynavector KARAT 17D3.
I am only selling this album as i am more of a jazz fan so its only ever been played once since i bought it.
I have acquired over 1,000 vinyl albums in the past 50+ years and will be slimming down my collection due to a forthcoming move.
