THE BEATLES: Ain't She Sweet / Cry For A Shadow (estimated mid-60s* / very rare orig. East German issue / AMIGA 4 50 466 / red-white label / with extra credit: "John Lennon, (voc.)" on the A-side label and on the back sleeve / as most collectors will know, only very few Beatles´ records were released in the former "GDR" (or "DDR" in German language), and all those records were issued slightly later than they were released in West Germany or other parts of the Western world - this 7" was most likely issued in 1964 (when East German "Amiga", the state company in the "GDR", did license a few Beatles´ recordings from West German Polydor for the first time) / to my knowledge there were only very few copies of this 7" manufactured, my estimation would be, that all in all there were less than 1.000 copies pressed)

CONDITION P/S: VG
CONDITION VINYL: VG

DESCRIPTION:

2 cm seam split on the spine / in the middle of the front p/s there´s a slight discolouration (looks like a "circle", but the discolouration is very soft and in my opinion not really obtrusive) / the sleeve corners are a bit bent, and there are two small tears into the side opening of the frontside (8 mm and 2 mm length) and 4 small tears into the side opening of the backside (8 mm, 6 mm, 3 mm and 2 mm length) / furher there are two tiny tears from the bottom into the p/s (only 3 mm length each) / the p/s has a slight yellowing due to age (but it should be noted, that a) this yellowing isn´t very strong and b) that it´s almost impossible to find East German picture sleeves without any yellowing, as in East Germany a kind of paper was used, that simply did "attract" at least a certain kind of yellowing - after all resources were always tight in East Germany, and if there was any "quality paper", it surely wasn´t provided to be used on "unnecessary" things like record sleeves!...) / light (to medium-strong) ringwear on the backside, the frontside has just a minimal trace of a ringwear / fine, shiny vinyl with some superficial hairlines, but without any deeper "real" scratches / the labels are clean / summary: despite several mistakes, which have been described above in detail, this item is still one of the best copies of a East German Beatles´ 45 I´ve seen/had so far and most likely one of the best copies of this 7" you will ever see on offer, it´s probably in a better state than 90% of all copies
