Description
Hello there! Many thanks for perousing my items! When you've looked here, you might like to check out some of my other items, I have some other very rare Beatles etc. items currently listed with many more to come, heck, I'd even suggest you add me to your favourite sellers to keep on top of all the goodies that I'm going to list over the coming months!
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers. I will only post completely insured and tracked.
This week I'm selling many Beatles/Kinks/Yardbirds Etc. 7" rarities.
Here we have the very rare UK 1st pressing of THE BEATLES All You Need Is Love b/w Baby, You're a Rich Man, from 1967, and broadcast across the "Live" satellite world television show, and indeed, all but the very first run of copies announced this directly underneath the writer's credits of the A-side. However the very first run omitted this fact, and also omitted the producer credits, which had previously not been included on UK Beatles 7"s, but this reprinting of the labels, also ushered in the beginning of George Martin's own credit on each of the singles!
Here we have one of the very first copies of this single (with very early stamper/lacquer codes too- 1-GR/1-P), and a -1/-2 matrix usual with these very first copies.
RECORD CONDITION: VG, an averagely decently looked after record. Has a few surface marks and scuffs, though nothing feelable, or anything to affect play. Plays strongly!
RECORD LABELS: VG+, The all important Labels! Lovely, grafitti/tear/abbrasion free labels, a tiny bit of wear around the central spindle holes, and just a few very light spindle traces near the central spindle hole when angled into direct light. SLEEVE CONDITION: VG, A nice generally crisp Miner's "M" style sleeve, then original sleeve it came with, with just 2 nicks around the die-cut central hole, and a single nick along the wavey top-opening mouth edge. All of the edges are holding great and crisp with no wear-throughs at all. The previous owner has mistakenly written "ALL I NEED IS LOVE by the Beatles" at the top of the front, and "BABY YOU'RE A RICH MAN by the Beatles" at the top of the back.
DEADWAX INFO: A-Side: 1 GR 7XCE 18425 -1
B-Side: 1 P
7XCE 18426 -2
The KT tax code it stamped in both Deadwaxes, and also embossed around the central spindle hols of the B-side.
Any further question please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks again, and why not check out my other items?! River.Dog
