Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Rolling Stones and some progressive records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, an extremely rare 2nd UK EXPORT pressing of BEATLES VI, on the SILVER – BLACK Parlophone label with ONE EMI BOX, cat. no. CPCS 104. This second pressing of BEATLES VI dates from late 1969 / early 1970 and it was pressed for the last time in the UK
The record is in EX Minus condition; there are some non-sounding hairlines and a hardly visible non-sounding line on side 2. I have played this record completely and it sounded really great. I would grade the play as Excellent. The labels are in EX condition, there are a few spindle marks only.
The cover is in VG+++ condition, there are a couple thumbnails on the opening edge, on the front is a small scratch just next to Paul’s head, on the back there is very slight age browning next to the opening edge, but further no writing, no rips or tears or other damage.
The original 1969/1970 sepia tinted EMI advertising inner sleeve is still present and is in VG++ condition, just because of a tiny bottom split of approx. 2 cm, further the inner is in perfect condition.
Although this is a 2nd pressing of the BEATLES VI U.K. Export pressing, this one is equally rare (or maybe ever rarer) than the 1st pressing on the Yellow Black label. Pressed from the same matrices as the original (this pressing has also the scratched out US matrix number on side 1 with the correct YEEX 113-A15 machine stamped under the false number), this 1969/1970 pressing sounds exact the same as the original 1966 pressing.
Happy Bidding!
