Description
I have owned this collection from new in NZ. The "From Liverpool - The Beatles Box" is an 8-LP vinyl box set with a total of 124 tracks! Each album has a unique picture sleeve reflecting The Beatles era/phase of the tracks. The set is housed in a 12" x 12" picture box.
I am not a professional record dealer so please use my descriptions and the images to ascertain the condition of this set. In my opinion, these records are in amazing condition.
The Box: Colours are still sharp. There is some wear around the edges of the box. The vertical edges of the lid seams have separated and the adhesive connecting the lid to the base has come apart (see pics).
THE INNER SLEEVES: Are in AMAZING CONDITION with not creases or tears. They are in nearly mint condition. All of the plastic inner sleeves are present and in fantastic condition. There is a brief bio on each of the sleeves describing the songs and what was happening with the band at that time.
THE VINYL: (the most important part): Is in GREAT CONDITION. Most of the records have hardly been played (especially records 1-5 covering The Beatles' earlier work). Records 6 through 8 did get a fair bit of play as they contained their later (more superior IMO) work from Sgt Peppers' onwards. I have visually inspected all the vinyl and most records are in near perfect condition. I did not play through records 1-5 and 7 as they appeared to not have any potential flaws. Records 6 and 8 have a few tiny scratches and I have played these records through to ensure they do not skip. You can hear about 3 scratch clicks during 'Something' on disc 8 and some small clicks on disc 6 (The Sgt Pepper's record) but nothing that really distracts from the listening pleasure.
I am starting my auction price at a ridiculous $79 (or less than $8 per record!). This collection is quite heavy (approx 2kg, hence the postage cost). Plus I will be posting with signature required to ensure the items get to you ok. If you search these boxes on eBay you will see that they are worth a great deal more than my starting price. I am a 100% eBayer who takes pride in the quality of my items, the detail of my descriptions and my speed of delivery. I am hoping this collection will go to a person who truly appreciates it.
