When Beatles disbanded in 1970, Apple records compiled all of their 1963-69 annual Christmas messages which the Fab Four had distributed  to their fan clubs and worldwide appreciation societies via series of extremely rare flexi-discs and 45rpm singles, and issued them on a single album. To our best knowledge, this album has never been released anywhere in the world in this format and is brutally hard to find in any condition. Indeed, this is one of the toughest items in the entire Beatles catalogue. In many ways, even the infamous "Butcher cover" is easier to find.

WHILE MANY CONVINCING COUNTERFEIT COPIES OF THIS ALBUM EXIST, WE  ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE THAT THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY, ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC, GENUINE PRESSING OF THE ALBUM. ALL THE ELEMENTS OF THE ORIGINAL PRESSING ARE IN PLACE: clear and legible inscription on the spine of the cover; “Bell Sound” machine stamp in the trail-off vinyl (which many collectors take to be a sufficient proof of the record's authenticity and provenance), cardboard cover with slick folded and pasted onto the back cover; thick vinyl, fine and precise font and lettering on the label, clear and sharp images on both front and back cover; The inscription “Theatre Royal” above John Lennon’s head on the third from the left image at the bottom row is clear, visible and fully legible; the photo image of the Beatles’ 1964 Christmas flexi-disc on the back cover is NOT grainy and spotty (as is the case on most counterfeit pressings).

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)           WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG VG++, JUST A NOTCH BELOW NEAR MINT. A few light abrasions (probably just sleeve scuffs inflicted in storage over the years) ARE VISIBLE, but they appear fairly  insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are only moderately visually distracting. For most part, the vinyl looks impeccable, without any MAJOR visual flaws or imperfections. Much of the original luster is intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)           The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)            Stereo copies of this album are NOT known to exist.

(d)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS ABOUT VERY GOOD (VG).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-          Cover has some ring wear.  On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 5.

-          Cover has some visible fraying/tattering on all three seams

-          Cover has a few visible wrinkles along the spine

-          Cover has a visible "wrinkle"(crease)  in one of the corners.

-          Cover has a partially split spine (between 1 and 2 inches  / 2.5 to 5 centimeters)

-          Cover shows some light yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.

-          Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged

-          Cover has a visible wrinkle (air bubble in the paper slick) on the back panel
