THE BEATLES COLLECTION 1978 UK (AUST) EMI/PARLOPHONE/APPLE BLUE BOX SET
Offered is a complete set of 13 Albums (14 LP’s) that make up the compilation of the 1978 The Beatles Collection – The Blue Box Set, made, printed and distributed in Australia.
From what I understand, this set was made in Australia under the EMI/Parlophone Orange label in the late 70’s or early 80’s. Australian Parlophone put together a domestic version of “The Beatles” using the Austalian editions of “With the Beatles” and “Beatles For Sale”, both bearing cover art unique to Australia.
This set also included “Rarities” which includes two German songs, and because it was mastered by Australian Parlopone, She’s A Woman, Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand and This Boy were all pressed in true stereo.
The Blue Box itself is in very good condition, it has a small mark on lower back (like a piece of outer finish has come off), and some age discoloration on the internal, drop down flap edge - see photo.
The thirteen album covers are all in very good condition with minor marks from long time storage in original box, any other minor imperfections I have mentioned.

The vinyl records all appear to be in excellent condition in their original plastic sleeve. I don’t think they have been played very much, if at all.
There are also four original photographs and a large poster, and all are in excellent as new condition.
This set of records was given to my husband over 15 years ago and they have been packed away ever since. This is the first time we have had them out of the box, and I have tried to have good look at them and describe them as accurately as possible. Don’t forget, this set is over 30 years old!
