Als Rarität für diesen Jahrgang hat diese 1966er Ausgabe noch die Nummer SMO 83790, die nur 1964 benutzt wurde. Die meisten Exemplare von 1966 tragen ansonsten die Nummer SMO 73790. Seite 1 hat einige oberflächliche Haarlinien und Schrammen, spielt aber in schöner vg+ Qualität durch. Zwischen den Stücken hört man speziell mit Kopfhörer ein leichtes, niederfrequentes Rumpeln. Dieses scheint von der Pressung selbst verursacht zu werden. Je nach Lichteinfall werden kleine, schillernde schwarze Rauten sichtbar, die wie ein Muster verteilt sind aber in keiner Weise fühlbar. Das gleiche findet man auch auf Seite 2, alles nur aus schrägem Winkel zu sehen. Die Rückseite hat stärkere oberflächliche Gebrauchsspuren und einen dünnen Kratzer auf Titel 4, den man mit einem leichten Klicken 5 x in 11 Sekunden hört. Ansonsten ist auch die 2.Seite so angenehm zu hören wie Seite 1.

Das stabile Hochglanzcover ist in exzellentem Zustand mit glatten Kanten und perfekt erhaltenem, voll lesbarem Rücken. Lediglich die beiden Ecken am Einschub sind angerieben und auf einer Länge von nur 3mm geöffnet. Das Frontcover ist in schönem Hochglanz erhalten mit nur leichten Lagerungsspuren. Die Rückseite ist in sehr gutem und sehr sauberen Zustand.

Die Labels sind in einwandfreiem Zustand.

Das originale EMI-Innencover hat einen Knick in einer unteren Ecke, ansonsten völlig intakt.

A 1966 German pressing of this Beatles classic. The original 1964 number SMO 83790 is a rarity for 1966 as a new number SMO 73790 was generally established in this year. Side 1 has superficial scuffs and marks but plays throughout in enjoyable vg+ condition, causing only some very moderate background noises audible between tracks. Please note this pressing has a special effect as it shows shimmering spots in the pressing that don't seem to be of any physical consistence. However those ghostly spots seem to cause some mild, low frequency rumble phenomena that can be heard in between the tracks. Side 2 has more surface scuffs and a thin mark on Track 4 which is audible by five soft clicks for a total of 11 seconds. Otherwise Side 2 is equally enjoyable as Side 1.

The sturdy high gloss cover is in beautiful condition with sharp edges and a perfectly preserved spine. The two corners of the opening seam have opened for about 3mm length each. The front cover as a whole is top glossy with just some moderate shelfwear that is visible just from a certain angle. The back cover is also bright and clean, hardly any sign of more than 52 years of age.

The labels are in flawless shape. The original company inner sleeve has just a strong crease in one corner, otherwise it is fine.
