Description

This is an auction for The Beatles LP, Hey Jude.

This was released by Apple records in 1969 and has catalogue number CPCS106. This is the 2nd press with a dark green Apple label. Please check the pictures for clarification.

Matrix: YEEX 150 1      YEEX 151 1

Condition: The laminated sleeve comes in fine condition, Under close examination some lamination creases can be seen, on the rear there is a very light fading ring where the impression of the vinyl shows through slightly on the sleeve, there are also two fingering indentations seen to the mouth, one has caused a tiny, perhaps 2mm tear running in from the mouth, this is very discreet and only just seen under close examination, lastly, and being very fussy as usual, there is very light buffing to the very corners. Spine & Edges Ex, no bends or creases, lamination at mouth ex, a fine crisp sleeve and graded at Near Mint.

This comes with its original patent inner sleeve which is in fine condition.

Both labels are clean and look new, under a strong light little more than few spider spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole is perfect and shows no signs of wear, please check the pictures on supersize, superb labels.

The vinyl retains its brand new shine and looks immaculate, only under a very strong light can one tiny scratch and a few feather scratches just be seen. I have of course test played this through both sides.

You have to laugh, I nearly down-graded this record because of the fading in and out heard through both sides of this record. I had not listened to this LP previously and was somewhat surprised by the amount of fluctuation in volume and clarity. So I assumed there was something wrong with the vinyl. It looks brand new so I assumed it must be a pressing fault. Anyway I also have a US, Hey Jude that I was placing on my Ebay tonight, so I test played that and it was exactly the same, same flutuation in the same places. So the only noteworthy fault I wrote down was that in the crossover between track 5 and 6 of side one, a few quiet crackles are heard. This plays with very little, if any, lessening in sound quality and certainly does not suffer from any reduction due to wear. Stunning quiet breaks and entries, except where mentioned, and playing as new.

Graded at Near Mint, played little more than a few times, stunning looking vinyl and labels, superb audio, if you like that kind of psyche in and out, not for me I must say.

A superb and rare export addition and collectors copy, with fine, sleeve, inner and vinyl.
