*Possibly the rarest UK export issue??*
The original UK pressed EXPORT album release of Beatles tracks in STEREO, also pressed in the UK on an APPLE RECORDS catalogue also only for EXPORT. Thus it wasn't seen in or distributed to British record shops, and this version is MUCH SCARCER than the regular designated UK pressing on Apple.
I'm guessing that this was an early run of this compilation, that got a decision for a wider European release, so was soon replaced but with the same format...... including title errors "PAPER BACK WRITER" and "REVOLUTIONS"!
'Beatlemania' had subsided with the boys releasing solo albums.
However, in the hindsight to give meaning to the reasons for these particular songs to have been put together, they were rare STEREO mixes that should have excited fans, especially for enthusiasts gathering special rare mixes and masters. Those familiar with the original releases of the tracks will notice some differences!
This one certainly does sound really good, the audiophile evaluation has to be positive - and the playing condition is very nice too.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades EXCELLENT
Side 1 has one superficial line visible, not affecting playback.
Apple lables are NEAR MINT, no stains, stickers or pen.
The FULLY LAMINATED CARD COVER is VG+. Light surface wear, a short tear on the rear opening edge (there's been a little colouring on this, which hides the tear somewhat).
In Sweden albums were very often with a tab sticker that SEALED the opening so discs couldn't be removed before purchase - a factor that sometimes caused damage when the sticker was removed! Yes, a ridiculous thing to do, just like the horrible 'NK' stickers that department store usually added!! (thankfully not on this lp)
The original Swedish INNER SLEEVE is included, which has some white tape repairs on the seams.
