Description
This Danish release is a mono 1965 compilation of tracks dating back to 'From Me To You'
SLEEVE
The sleeve is G. It is made of thinner card than a UK pressing. It has, unfortunately seen some action. The front has rubbing around the rim, and near the opening edge. There are no major creases, or any tears. The edges and corners are rubbed a bit more energetically. There is a 2" (5cm) split on the spine, and a similar split on the bottom edge.
The rear sleeve is unlaminated, quite clean, and only slightly yellowed. A faint record shop stamp, in red, is near the top, (pic 3) along with a pre-decimal price, in biro, which has been struck through with blue felt-tip. A second pre-decimal price is in the top left corner. As an import it was expensive. All the other listed discs have been 'ticked' in blue biro, including the mystery track, 'Waitin' for You' (pic 4) A small section of the lower flip-over is missing. (pic 5) Finally, a minor printing fault, the colour on the front is slightly off register. (pic 6)
VINYL
After that catalogue of woes, it is a pleasure to describe the vinyl. It is clean, shiny, and plays EX throughout. There are a very few light crackles audible between the tracks, but that is absolutely it. The pressing is easily comparable to a UK press, clear, bright, and very hi-fi. The reason I have graded the vinyl as EX- in the heading is due to a few very faint surface marks, which, as I indicated earlier, are completely inaudible. The machine made matrix numbers are XSTX 115-1 and XSTX 116-1. The labels are clean, with some light spindle marks.
