THE BEATLES - Help! (1965) PARLOPHONE PMC 1255

Here is an excellent condition 1st pressing mono copy of this classic album from The Beatles.

The dead wax matrix numbers are :

Side 1   XEX 549 - 2      Side 2   XEX 550 - 2 

THE VINYL

The appearance and overall condition of the flat and nicely weighted vinyl is excellent (EX). Each side is bright and retains its original black sheen. Only under closer inspection and under bright light are the fine surface markings and paper scuffs visible. There are no 'feelable' marks. 

THE LABELS

The labels are excellent plus (EX+) with white text upon the smooth black/yellow label and the iconic Parlophone logo. The only blemishes are just a hint of a few spindle hole marks. 

THE SLEEVE

The condition of the 1st pressing laminated outer sleeve is Very Good (VG).  The outline 'mono' logo in the top right corner defines this as a first pressing sleeve. There is just some light wear to the edges and spine, and a small crease to the top right hand corner of the front. There also appears to have been a small 15mm split along the top of the sleeve at some time, probably caused by storage of the vinyl but it has been repaired. There is also some writing on the back of the sleeve which has been covered up by correction fluid (not by me I hasten to add). You will see it in the photo to the right of John Lennon's picture. It will be clearer if you zoom in. 

THE SOUND

The quality of the audio is excellent (EX). Lovely tone and clarity throughout, even at higher volume. No repeats, sticks or obvious clicks and barely any surface noise - just the hint of some very mild background at the very beginning and during a couple of the quieter moments but this is non-intrusive and very trivial. Every track plays brilliantly, from the opening track "Help!" on Side One to the rocking "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" which finishes Side Two. 

Comes with a nice original poly-lined inner sleeve with no rips or tears and remaining fully functional. 

Note: The record will be posted using an alternative white replacement inner sleeve for shipping purposes in order to protect the original.

PLEASE NOTE REGARDING LP RECORDS

We always do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to grade our LP records accurately, but you must bear in mind that unless you are buying a vinyl record that  is SEALED, or in NEAR-MINT condition, there will always likely be some type of surface sound, or background noise somewhere on the vinyl, better known as pops or light crackling. If an LP has been played a couple of times, it can never be perfect. This is especially noticeable in classical and jazz records, which have quiet passages. You are buying vinyl LPs because they sound better than CDs, however the pops and crackling come with an LP.

GRADES: Buyer satisfaction is very important, so we always try to describe items accurately and we always check condition under strong light so what we describe is what you get! Grades are based on the UK Rare Record Price Guide (RRPG) grading system. Suffixes (+) & (-) are also used to grade vinyl falling between 2 grades to try and give the most accurate description.
