HERE is a fully complete copy of the rare first press UK presentation box set of Let It Be by The Beatles from 1970.
This red apple set houses the sought after first edition photographic book. It also includes the very first pressing of the Let It Be LP itself, with the sleeve featuring the rare red apple logo and the disc boasting first press 2U/2U matrices.
The disc is in comfortable VG condition with just light surface marks to be seen when viewed under a strong halogen light.
The red apple record sleeve is also in VG condition with a little creasing here and there and a small nick to the rear opening edge. The book is in VG- condition, remaining fully intact with a little creasing to the corners/edges and wear to the bottom of the spine. There is no writing or tearing to any of the pages. The laminated outer presentation box is in VG- condition, remaining glossy with various creasing, some corner/edge wear and clear tape along the rear top edge. The fragile die-cut cardboard outer tray is in Poor condition with a tear on one flap and a torn edgestrip; the inner tray is a new replacement component. All in all a very presentable and useable example of this highly sought after boxset.
