Description

THE BEATLES – LOVE ME DO - 2nd PRESS – UK - 1962 – EX strong !!!

Black label without Sold in UK text - R4949

This is the original 2nd UK pressing of the Beatles – Love me do /P.S. I love you in marvellous condition. It omits the Sold in Uk text on the push-out center. So it is a very early pressing. It was pressed around october 1962.

Ringo plays the drums and it is not the tambourin version.

The labels are in very beautiful condition (EX+), no colour loss, no writing, no scuffs. Just minimal spindle hole wear! As you can see on the photos this 7“ hasn`t been  played very often.

Early MPZT tax code on both sides at 9 o`clock; Please not there is no tax code embossed on the push out center on both sides!!!

Side A Matrix: 7XCE 17144-1N; RT Mother tamper at 3 o`clock

Side B Matrix: 7XCE 17145-1N, RM Mother stamper at 2:30

Vinyl: is in great condition. It is very shiny, clean and looks EX (nice) - Careful grading! Please see the pictures!

Side A plays Ex to EX+

Side B plays Ex to EX+ in general; a hairline is visible here but it doesn`t affect the sound. There is only a very very short and single click hearable (no jump, not noisy). I tried to find out why but couldn`t, because there is no visible reason for that.

Cover: original company sleeve
