THE BEATLES LP, YELLOW SUBMARINE, a 1969 second pressing with the RIAA logo on the back cover. This was pressed at the SCRANTON plant. It was of course a soundtrack LP in which side I consisted of Beatles songs, and side 2 consisted of George Martin composed and orchestrated music. This is an LP that reminds us of the importance of George Martin, His genius was clearly one of the most important factors in The Beatles post mop top abilities as recording artists. It's a great pop psych LP from the era. This is a STEREO copy, and every time I play it, with sounds emanating from all sides of the room, I wonder why so many people prefer the mono copies. In my opinion, if you're into the crazy psychedelic sounds here, the Stereo is 100% the way to go. It's a trip.
This copy is in great condition. It has full gloss, and looks and plays almost as new all around. The COVER is NEAR MINT with vivid colors, solid seams and spine. It does have a touch of ring wear on the front top and bottom. The back cover has a paper tear top center. All corners are sharp. An overall solid cover. The Labels are in great shape with no rim text on side 1, and a capitol logo in the rim text side 2. The VINYL is in great condition as well, and plays 100% perfect. It's wonderful to see a copy like this that's been so well cared for 51 years. Love is all you need.....
