Investment-Grade Beatles History – Ultra-Early 6th Stamper
This is not just a first pressing; it is one of the earliest copies of the Beatles' debut single in existence.
The Discovery:
Following a collector inquiry, the deadwax has been verified. Side A features the "P" stamper code, indicating this was the 6th stamper ever used during the initial October 1962 production run.
The Pedigree:
This record was purchased in Liverpool the week of release by a local musician who witnessed the band's "nuclear explosion" sets at the Cavern Club. It has remained in the same Liverpool family for 64 years.
The Audio:
Features the original -1N matrix, containing the version with Ringo Starr on drums (no tambourine), which was deleted from all subsequent pressings.
Condition:
Vinyl (VG): Strong gloss with light surface marks. Plays with the authentic 1962 punch.
Sleeve (G): Original sleeve featuring childhood pen marks—a true "survivor" from a 1960s Liverpool home.
