This auction is for an incredibly RARE original PROMO 45rpm vinyl single by THE BEATLES - 'Love Me Do' b/w 'PS I Love You'.
Catalogue number - 45-R 4949. 7XCE 17144.
Original 1962 Red Parlophone Label with Mega RARE "Factory Sample - NOT FOR SALE" Sticker.
A must for all Beatles collectors as only a VERY small number of these promo / demo versions of the single are made and sent out to DJs, publicicists for review etc.
This is the incredibly RARE pressing on the Red Parlophone label. It does not have the 'Sold in UK' text, and there is no mention of 'Mono'.
This is a serious rarity.
An original RED LABEL / FACTORY SAMPLE promotional issue of this 45.

Fabulously early issue!
Side 1 Label is in Very Good condition though has the name 'Roy' in black felt pen (see scan), and two light initials 'R' on the label. There are also what appear to be small 'R's written on the 'Factory Sample' label.
Side 2 Label is Excellent.
Sleeve is 'Wavey' type and is in Very Good condition.
The vinyl is flat and has an outstanding sheen. The vinyl rates a very strong VG or Ex- (both sides) and looks in great order with only light hairline marks, and there aren't many of these.
The 'Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd' credit at 9 o'clock is also present.
This item is a true collector's item.
A serious Beatles RARITY.
