These AMAZING tracks were inspired, and made a GREAT Extended Play double 7inch set.
6 great new songs and a rather odd shambolic film came about - the levity of which suggests that they wanted to shrug off the pressure of expectations from the public and media!
The 'Fab Four' boys had sadly just suffered the terrible loss of their instigator manager Brian Epstein - a tragic event.
That he took an overdose of a drug could have been an accident, but there was suicide speculations - perhaps because he was a gay man from a Jewish family, or that he felt he had 'lost the reins' with the group, or that his naive handling of business affairs in an industry he was new to..... any of these can have been factors.
Paul was first to see the bewilderment in his bandmates, and wanted to 'shake them out of it' for the sake of the group and their future in it.
He came up with 'Fool On The Hill' and 'Your Mother Should Know' - John with the enigmatic 'I Am The Walrus', both on the title track, George has the dreamy psychedelic 'Blue Jay Way', and all made something very unusual, an instrumental; 'Flying' (I suspect that's a soundtrack to them being quite stoned!).
As always before - put together by "BIG GEORGE MARTIN".
A cool original BEATLES collectable EP set with OUTSTANDING tracks from the midway in their awe-inspiring recording career.
Every tune is fantastic, unique, and imaginative..... and sounding wonderful in both Stereo and MONO - as is heard on this copy!
CONDITION;
The VINYL is NEAR MINT-
Nice shine, flat and playing well.
One mark on 'Magical Mystery Tour' that doesn't affect the playing through.
LABLES are clean and without tears or writing.
Very little signs of spindle marks visible, well preserved indeed!
The cool LAMINATED PICTURE COVER BOOK and inside photos, cartoons, storyline and lyrics is superb NEAR MINT- beautiful!
The two matching inner sleeves are unusual, and I suspect this was an *exported* set that was possibly put together for sale in Europe.
An original copy on this collectable single, and a lovely example of a rarer MONO pressing.
Please see photos.
