This is an early copy of the 6-track double EP.
The PARLOPHONE Lable Double Extended Play package as issued in Great Britain.
The film made for tv wasn't a particular critical success at the time - it was Paul McCartney's somewhat crazy concept - created as distraction from the devastating death of their manager Brian Epstein, to keep the fab four being a working unit. They had already ceased playing live and doing tours, so it was effective in maintaining their mood and frivolous attitude in the public perspective, at least.
However, what is clear is the quality of their music - which is indeed FAB!
MONO was phasing out gradually during the latter part of the decade, and although a few records were still on the shelves in Mono, most record buyers were focused on Stereo as the favourite medium.
Probably around 7 to 1 of these EP sets are in Stereo, making this a rarer edition release from the period.
Condition;
The VINYL is VG++ overall
There are very light surface marks visible, this plays and sounds EXCELLENT.
The LABLES are EX centre intact and with no stickers or tears.
The custom book cover with lyrics, story and photos, is VG+. All pages are flat and clean, no stickers or pen. There is some wear to the outside cover, which is glossy and in full colour otherwise.
An nice Beatles collectable.
