There are about 7 Stereo copies to every 1 of these MONO copies issued - everyone had caught up with the modern format by 1967. There are aspects of the sound production on 60s pressings that make the mix very desirable though!
Especially sought in this condition when completing UK early issue originals.
The package concept was unique and the film was The Fab Four's own production - showing their whimsical humour, unscripted and revolving around a coach trip and the characters involved.
The Beatles had progressed from 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'Help', to a somewhat psychedelic period - it's a 1960's landmark in psych music. When Brian Epstein just passed away from an accidental overdose of pills, Paul McCartney took an immediate initiative to keep the band from falling apart, and though hastily put together, this distraction worked to get their unified spirits up as a band and keep them grounded with the fans.
Critics took it too seriously and missed the point, it was meant to be without objective, so fans could just get the feeling of being on the ride, no pretence of a message or meaningful storyline.
The music is TOP standard as always, and on these discs are some truly brilliant - now classic - tracks!
CONDITION;
VINYL all 4 sides MINT.
A pristine copy of both discs. EVERY nuance and instrumental stroke is CLEAR and defined.
George Martin's production talent was marvelous, and this is top standard.
OUTSTANDING!
There's a very slight warp on disc 2, not much and not affecting the play whatsoever
MATT BLACK LABLES with SILVER TEXT are spotless! No pen or stickers. 'K T' raised letter tax codes.
The LAMINATED FLIP-TAB COVER is NEAR MINT.
The inside booklet is clean and flat, blue lyrics pages.
NO laminate separation or discoloration, is simply a gorgeous full coloured cover, with a little more blue tint than I've seen on other copies
