THE BEATLES - MEET THE BEATLES! Canada Vinyl, Purple Label (1978) ST 2047 LP
I bought this used for my personal collection circa 1980. This is the Canadian version reissued in 1978 with the Purple Capitol Records labels. I continuously stored this with a plastic outer cover and it was unplayed by me until now when I checked it for condition.
I rate the cover jacket as Very Good +. It is solid, with just a couple of minor creases. On the top rear, there is a blue "smudge" (see photo) that was there when I acquired it to my best recollection.
The LP is also in Very Good + condition. There are a few visible light scratch marks and a "dot" defect of some sort on Side 2 on "Don't Bother Me" that was likely there since manufacture. I played the complete album and there are no skips and it plays fine. There are a few static clicks/ticks in between tracks. I noticed no audio issue with the "Don't Bother Me" track. I originally bought this solely to add to my collection and did not play it. I had a standard US Capitol version to listen to back in the day when desired.
I will place the vinyl in a new clear inner sleeve and include the original paper sleeve also when shipping.
Please see the photos. I am not a professional grader. I am using my best judgement per the Goldmine grading standards.
I will take extra care with packing and shipment. I will put new plastic sleeves on the outer cover and LP and will pack the LP outside of the jacket to avoid any possible seam damage during shipment. I will pack securely and ship in a Whiplash LP mailer.
