“Meet The Beatles!”

THE BEATLES

Up for an auction is a Capitol Records Club Issue of The Beatles Meet the Beatles! with one of the rarest Beatles memorabilia items, a four-page misprint brochure made for record club members, urging them to order copies of the American LP debut from England's hot new hitmakers. Heritage Auctions listed one of these very rare brochures for $3,450.00. The iCollector auction listed one of these Record Club brochures with a starting price of $1,400.00 with the “Estimated At” price of $5,600.00 - $8,400.00. The listing was sold for $4,750.00 (please see the photo). Printed in light blue and black, this 5" x 8" booklet opens up to reveal mis-identified photos of the lads, with John and George's photos switched! Even more astounding is the back page, which is completely devoted to an ad for the then-current Al Martino album, Painted, Tainted Rose, Capitol's way to hedge their bets in case the Fab Four turned out to be a flop! Please see the detailed high-resolution photos of this remarkable item. We’ve listed this auction without a reserve price and perhaps it’s your only chance to acquire this one of the rarest Beatles memorabilia items. The brochure comes with an original, native to the brochure, Record Club Decca Pinckneyville Contract Pressing of The Beatles Meet the Beatles! The back cover contains a factory designator RIAA 16 with the vinyl containing an original black label with a multicolored spectrum ("Rainbow") band along the label's edge with the “Manufactured Under License From Capitol Records Inc., Hollywood” rim text and unique record club ST-82047 catalog number along with only Decca pressing 1’ inch diameter pressing ring. The trail-off vinyl contains “2” at the end of the matrix stampers, which serves as the main identifier, confirming this copy to be a very rare contract Decca Records pressing.

ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS! USPS can no longer accept or deliver international mail temporary to several countries due to the service impacts. Please check whether your country is on the list of temporary service and guaranteed-delivery suspensions. Additionally, please take into consideration that the disruption of air mail schedule causes significant delays, which affect the expected delivery date declared by eBay and USPS. From our side, we guarantee the prompt shipping of the item within 24 hours after receiving payment.

Please pay attention that we DON'T ship to Russia and Germany. No exceptions. We'll immediately cancel the transaction if our policy conditions are violated. Sorry about that.

POLICY:

Realizing how important it is to secure the safety of the item you've paid your money for, I'll put my best effort into packing the records as best as possible, triple boxing them into the specialized professional boxes, with the two outer boxes having a special construction with extended cardboard on the edges to prevent the record covers' corners from getting damaged during the transit, and will also put the vinyl outside of the cover (of course, unless it's a sealed record) to prevent the splitting. I always try responding to the messages, but please, before sending me a message, make sure that the answer to your question isn't included in the description. I'll use my right to block a buyer, who doesn't correspond to my idea of politeness, culture and respect toward each other. If you want to participate in my auction, please be honest and positive, and I'll be mutual with you. I'll remove the bids of a buyer with zero rating, unless he contacts me prior to placing a bid.
