THE BEATLES
Title : Magical Mystery Tour Label : Parlophone Cat No : 072-6243
Issue : Portugal Original A-1/B-1 Press
This is a Parlophone Portuguese press of Magical Mystery Tour. This press is complete with the original UK Garrod & Lofthouse pressed, Portuguese catalogue stickered gatefold sleeve. The sleeve has original black tape over the booklet text on the front, the Portuguese press was not issued with one.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational gloss, it is still jet black and the grooves show no sign of heavy play at all. There are just a few light wispy marks and a couple of small marks.
On playing the sound is Very Good, warm, rich and vibrant. There are moments of slight noise but it has Excellent clarity and separation throughout and can be enjoyed from start to finish.
The black and yellow Parlophone label is in Excellent condition. The label is completely clean, the black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. There is just the very slightest spindle wear.
The gatefold sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The heavy card is solid and the colours are extremely bright. The image is still very sharp. There is a little corner and edge wear. The inside is superb. The back of the sleeve is bright and has the original portuguese catalogue sticker over the original uk catalogue number. The whole cover is extremely solid and the spine is firm with clear black text on a clean white background.
