This is a hard to find TRANSITION label pressing of The Beatles "Please Please Me" on the Yellow & Black U.K Parlophone label, PMC 1202.
The first Yellow and Black U.K. Parlophone issues after the original Gold and Black label pressings contained the "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS" and "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963.," information printed on the labels.
However, there exists a rare transition label which has NEITHER of the above statements printed on the labels. This scarce variation is what I offer today!
This particular label anomaly is catnip to Beatles U.K. Parlophone label collectors!

"The Parlophone Co. " begins the rim print.
Side 1---XEX-421 IN and XEX-422 IN in 6 o'clock dead wax.
Side 1---9 o'clock- 2 AL 3 o'clock- 1 AR dead wax.
First and original Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London flip-back cover.

This record has been fully play graded. It plays with audible surface sound that is mainly heard between tracks. It has numerous scuffs and non-feelable scratches. However, it is very listenable.
The labels show spindle wear.
The E.J. Day cover has the "Photo: Angus McBean" blurb at the bottom right , front. Large "MONO" at upper right corner, front.

Essentially, it is being listed for it's uniqueness, hence the low starting bid.
