Now 21 years old in this guise, this sought-after compilation album actually sports the familiar red and white EMI promo sticker on the reverse reading "Manufacturers Property Not For Sale" - Past Masters Volumes One & Two 1988 issue 33-track 2-LP vinyl set [direct metal mastered from digitally remastered tape], presented in gatefold picture sleeve with informative liner notes from Beatles historian Mark Lewisohn.
It comes from my own collection and is in excellent condition overall with virtually no surface marks, absolutely no scratches and just one spindle mark on side 2 of each platter for some strange reason! The platters have always been housed in plastic-lined inner sleeves and effectively double-sealed from the elements. The outer gate-fold cover is in great condition overall but with some scuffing to the bottom edge and on opening the very bottom strip seems at some previous point to have stuck slightly together but nothing to get too excited over I feel. Check my feedback comments if you're wondering as to how good the condition of my tunes are!
Ludicrously I've seen some shops list this up to £100 but my starting bid is much more realistic and offers someone the chance to snap this up at a bargain price! Feel free too to email me if you want to make me a Buy-It-Now offer but whatever you do don't pass this by as they do not come up that often, certainly in this condition or, indeed, such a generous starting price - its an indispensable release for any fan or collector! As the sleeve notes state; if you have the other 13 Beatles albums and this one you have everything that they commercially issued during their reign.
Yeah, you can probably download some of these tracks from some manky site but this is vinyl - and its vinyl what counts ain't it?!!! Make a note of my ID if you're into House, Soul, Funk & Jazz (plus some Rock and Pop) rarities as I'll be outing from my extensive collection some further very rare original grooves over the coming months that you won't wanna miss - demo's, promo's & white labels included.
