Description

This is the legendary first ever pressing of "Please Please Me" an album by The Beatles from 1963. This is the mono version on the Parlophone label (PMC 1202) with the original and very rare black and gold label. It has the "Dick James Mus. Co" publishing credit for "Please Please Me", "I Saw Her Standing There", "Misery", "Do You Want To Know A Secret" and "There's A Place", an Ernest J day sleeve and label credit for "The Parlophone Co Ltd" but the label does NOT have "Sold in the UK". stamped matrices are XEX 421-1N and XEX 422-1N. The vinyl has quite a number of marks and can only be described as fair to good condition in Record Collector grading. There is also a paint mark on the outer rim (but not affecting the actual tracks). The cover has some wear around the edges and corners and part of the flipback has separated on the rear but is generally in good to very good condition. This record will be welcomed by completists who wish to add to their collection but if you are expecting a record that is playable and listenable I would suggest that you do not bid. This is a very rare pressing in a lot less than mint condition and has been priced accordingly. Paypal accepted, also postal order or cheque.
